110+ obstacles across 4 stories and 10,000 square feet: here's everything you need to know about the Epic Sky Trek in Castle Rock.
Located just 30 minutes south of Denver in Castle Rock, The EDGE Ziplines & Adventures is home to the Epic Sky Trek: one of the largest aerial obstacle courses in the country. Spanning 10,000 square feet with 110+ unique obstacles across four stories, this is a must-do for adventure seekers of all skill levels.
What Is the Sky Trek?
The Epic Sky Trek is a massive four-story aerial adventure course where participants navigate wobbly bridges, tightropes, cargo nets, balance beams, and ziplines through a purpose-built course. Three difficulty levels ensure everyone from first-timers to seasoned climbers finds their challenge. The full course takes approximately four hours to complete, though you can spend as much or as little time as you like.
The Three Levels
Lower Level (20 feet): Perfect for beginners and younger adventurers. Features include a trust fall and the "Quickflight" free fall: a thrilling introduction to heights in a controlled environment.
Middle Level (50 feet): Here things get serious. You'll ascend via a rock climbing wall using multiple routes, encounter two rappelling stations, navigate challenging obstacles, and experience a leap-of-faith zipline. The variety keeps every moment exciting.
Upper Level (75 feet: The Eagle's Nest): For true daredevils. Using a state-of-the-art belay system, participants ascend to the 75-foot aerial rappel station at the Eagle's Nest. The views of the Rocky Mountain foothills from up here are absolutely stunning.
Safety First
The Sky Trek uses the CLiC-iT double clip system: a continuous belay that allows full mobility while ensuring participants are safely clipped in at all times. It's physically impossible to accidentally unclip. Highly trained guides are stationed on each level, and every zipline guide completes an intensive training and certification program.
